E2121 INVALID_TYPE: sObject type 'ABC' is not supported

The E2121 - ECE_SOAPFaultResponse: We received an error response from the server: FaultCode: Client String.....: INVALID_TYPE: sObject type 'Ledger_Entry__c' is not supported. If you are attempting to use a custom object, be sure to append the '__c' after the entity name error message occurs when making a SOAP API request to Salesforce.

Possible Causes:

  1. Missing API Access: The object Ledger_Entry__c might not be available in the API. This could happen if:
    • The object is not enabled for API access in Salesforce.
    • The user's profile or permission set does not have API access to the object.
  2. Incorrect Object Name:
    • Ensure that Ledger_Entry__c is the correct API name of the custom object.
    • If using a namespace, the object name should be prefixed with it, e.g., Namespace__Ledger_Entry__c.
  3. Object Not Created Yet:
    • The object Ledger_Entry__c may not exist in your Salesforce instance.
    • Double-check in Setup → Object Manager.

How to Fix:

  • Check API Access: Go to Setup → Profiles → [User Profile] → Object Settings and confirm that Ledger_Entry__c has the right permissions.
  • Verify Object Name: In Salesforce, go to Setup → Object Manager and confirm the object API name.

Note: If you grant object permissions to the integration user, you would need to refresh the design so the layout is updated with the latest list of objects and fields. You will be able to do that by clicking on Read Design on the Salesforce connection.
