The General section is where you define the “identity” of the transfer (name/description), which systems it connects, which tables/objects it moves between, and the core behavior (Add/Update/Delete, error handling, etc.).
Main fields
- Code: unique transfer ID (e.g., 01_CUST02_CRM_UPD).
- Description: add a human-readable description.
- Status: lifecycle label (e.g., Implementing/Testing/Ready/Archived).
- Group: folder/grouping for organization + scheduling (e.g., CUST).
Connections & tables
- Source / Source Layout: which connection/layout reads the data (e.g., NAVODATA001).
- Destination / Destination Layout: which connection/layout writes the data (e.g., CRMODATA001).
- Source Table: source entity/table (e.g., CustomerCard).
- Destination Table: target entity/table (e.g., account).
- Link Storage: where Rapidi stores record relationships (helps matching across systems).
Behavior checkboxes
- Enabled: transfer can run.
- Update: update existing target records.
- Add: create new target records.
- Delete: delete target records (usually keep off).
- Continue on Error: don’t stop the whole run because of 1 bad record.
Other options (Actions/Move/Delete All/Autogenerate Key/All Fields) are advanced—leave off unless you know you need them.
