Connecting to an Azure SQL Database (hosted on Microsoft Azure) can be done via Rapidi via the connection type MS-SQL.

**1. Prerequisites:**

- **Azure SQL Database** : Ensure you have an Azure SQL Database set up in your Azure account.
- **Firewall Rules** : Configure firewall rules on the Azure SQL Server to allow connections from your IP address. This is set up in the Azure Portal under your SQL Database's Networking settings.

**2. Get Connection Details:**

In the Azure Portal, navigate to your SQL Database and note the following details:

- **Server Name** : This will be something like yourserver.database.windows.net
- **Database Name** : The name of the SQL database you want to connect to.
- **Username and Password** : Credentials for accessing the database.

**3. Set up the connection in myrapidi.com:**

- Go to **Connections** , select **MS-SQL** from the drop-down list and click on **New Connection;**
- Fill in the connection details as follows:
 - **Description** : Add a clear name/description for the connection;
 - **Server Connect** : Add the server name ( e.g yourserver.database.windows.net)
 - **Database** : Add the SQL Database name ( e.g. RapidiAzureDemo)
 - **Username and Password** ;
 - **Schema** : dbo

- Save the connection and click first on **Test** to make sure that the connection has been configured correctly. Afterwards, click on **Read Design** to read the SQL database tables and fields.
