Tags in the configuration

Tags are dynamic placeholders you place inside a Transfer configuration. When the Transfer runs, each Tag is automatically swapped out for the real value - such as a company name, a connection, or a link storage path. This means you build your Transfers once and reuse them across as many companies as you need, simply by changing the Tag Values.

Benefits:

Build once, run for many companies - no duplicate Transfers to maintain

Onboard a new company by adding their Tag Values, not by rebuilding Transfers;

Make a change in one place and it applies everywhere.

Where you can use Tags:

Description : label each run with the company name so logs and history stay clear and traceable;

Source : point to a different source connection depending on which company is running;

Destination : send data to the right target connection for each company;

Link Storage : automatically updates the Link Storage that belongs to the company the Transfer is currently running for;

Formulas : use Tags inside formulas to either retrieve default values already defined for a specific company, or write specific values into the destination based on what the Tag resolves to at runtime;

Filter : filter the data being transferred to only what is relevant for that company, for example pulling only records that belong to the company currently running;

Schedules : when creating a Schedule, select the company and Tag Group; the system handles the rest automatically at runtime.

Learn more about Tags
